Born on April 30, 1949 in Preston, Idaho. Sue received her B.A. in Communication from Utah State University, her M.A. from Western Washington University and her Ph.D. from the University of Oregon. While at Humbolt, she taught forensics and ws the Program Leader of the Women's Studies Program. She then moved to Southern Utah University (SUU) as a professor in the Communication Department, serving as the Graduate Co-ordinator, Faculty Senate President, and acting chair, among other responsibilities. She died August 11, 2018 in Cedar City, Utah.
