Half of the musical duo Ruth Barrett & Cyntia Smith, Barret was an important second wave feminist. Their record label, Aeolus Music, issued Aeolus in 1981 and Music Of The Rolling World on the Kicking Mule Records the following year. In 1984, the group released Deepening. Al three albums are on the folk-Celtic style.
