Scope and Contents Two Bills of Sale for slaves. Both transactions are for Green G. Ford in what was then Baker County and is now Worth County, Georgia. The first in Baker County for the price of $1,920: one woman, Lucy, about 20 years old and a boy, John, about 6 years of age, signed Lucinda Ferguson and Isaac Gillian on January 3, 1837. The second received by Randal McDonald, Adm. in Pulaski County on January 2, 1839 by Green G. Ford of Lee County for the cost of $1,276.00: one woman named Zelpha about 30...
