Scope and Contents
Description: Horned and bearded standing male figure. Media: Carved wood, metal, horn, raffia. Size: 26 5/8" x 7 3/8" x 7 1/8". Surface: Much surface loss due to dryrot or infestation, dull throughout, heavily soiled, heavy scratches and abrasions. Stability: Cracks: four and a half inches by five eighths of an inch at widest, radial cracking in head, from right eye across face (six and a half inches, two and five eighths of an inch, one and a half inches, two and a half inches, one and three fourths inches, six and five eighths inches, particularly deep, four and three eights of an inch), front left shoulder across chest, two and five eighths inches across shoulder, two and a half inches across hand, six and three eighths inches on chest, three and the fourths inches and three and three eighths inches on left shoulder, five eighths of an inch on rear shoulder, two and five eighths on left where leg meets torso, one and seven eighths inches under left knee, two and three eighths inches, and one and one fourth inches, one and one eighth inches, and one and one fourth inches in horn. Infestation: Heavy cobweb and insect debris, particularly in base, significant damage from insects or dryrot along edge of base, buttocks, back, right shoulder, right rear of head, front of legs, and nose.
