Description: Nkisi figure. Media: Wood, raffin, horn. Size: 8" x 8" x 21" or 8" x 6 1/2" x 21". Surface: Hard, shiny, waxy accretion at top of head and forehead, surface dull with much wear. Stability: Cracks: one and three quarters inches at both sides of stomach at hands, one inch, one inch, and one half inch cracks on chin, one half inch crack on top lip, two inch crack on left cheek, three and five eighths inch crack from chin through eye, one and a half inch and one and three sixteenth inch cracks on left forearm, numerous radial cracks at back of head towards top, one and a quarter inch at right shoulder (particularly deep), nine inch crack at rear of left shoulder to horn (particularly long and deep); adhesive for horn cracking. Infestation: Cobwebs, insect egg sack in deep crack, white accretion throughout, particularly on head.
