MS-115-023: Crouching Nude Bearded Male Figure
Scope and Contents
Description: Crouching nude bearded male figure. Media: Wood, seed pod, shells, fur. Size: 8" x 8 1/4" x 23 5/8". Surface: White accretion on lips, nose, and forehead, surface worn evenly and burnished even in areas of loss, surface cracking in facial area, particularly profound abrasions on arms, accretion (perhaps paint) on face. Stability: Areas of loss: left rear side of head (older), left shoulder, upper arm, left torso area, cracking within, especially rear left shoulder under arm extending to front, entire arm weak, end of genitals lost, seven eighths of an inch loss at right knee, two and three quarters loss at right thigh at connection to hip, right side from shoulder to buttocks, and right buttocks (newer); crack: rear of right angle, two and one eighth inches, cracks on both feet; large pieces of both feet appear to be missing, numerous losses from back. Infestation: Cobweb, debris in crevasses.
