Box 19: General Files: R-Z
Scope and Contents
Box 19 consists of many different types of documents about M.E. Thompson and his term as governor of Georgia in 1946. Some more notable documents are some letters, moneys owed, speeches, and a grade report from the University of Georgia.
All documents are dated during the late 1940’s which was during Thompson’s stint as governor. The documents are also originals and should be handled delicately.
Some notable names that appear in this box besides Thompson are W.R. Neel, Judge David S. Atkinson, Eugene Talmidge, G.B. Callaway, and Eugene Cook. Some notable organizations in this box are the Girl Scouts, Winn-Dixie Stores Inc., Western Union, and WSB Radio.
