Everyday Uniform, 1914-1915
Scope and Contents
5x3 Old print on cardstock of Lucille Arnold in "Everyday Uniform". 1914-1915. The everyday uniform, modeled by Lucille Arnold, consisted of a "blue serge skirt, white waist, Robespierre collar, [and a] blue silk Windsor tie." The uniform rules specified a particular pattern for the skirts, Butterick #5856, and that material may be bought in Valdosta from Varnedoe and Company. Each girl had to bring 12 waists (or blouses) of cloth, 12 Robespierre collars, and 6 high collars to go with the waists. (SGSNC Bulletin 1915-1916, p. 28.)
