Brown Hall is a residence hall that houses 200 men. It was named in honor of Joseph M. Brown, governor of Georgia when VSC opened its doors in 1913. Shows three workers and stucco 4. Dedicatory Program of November 14, 1966 (S. Walter Martin, Presiding) Several other buildings are included in the dedication, College Union, Nevins Hall, Hopper Hall, Brown Hall, Lowndes Hall, addition to Powell Library, campus warehouse. In planing stages are a classroom arts building and a residence hall for women. 5. Letter from James B. Addy of Addy & Norris - Architects of May 2, 1964 to J. Ralph Thaxton to arrange an appointment for discussion on the construction of Brown Hall. 6. Letter from S.
