"The monthly magazine Pinebranch gave way to the sometimes weekly newspaper Campus Canopy in 1934, and by 1937, 'For the first time since a student paper has been established on the campus THE CAMPUS CANOPY has followed a regular schedule of publication, being distributed...each Friday. The paper is a four-column, four-page weekly publication. . . . .This year, the Editor was Lorene Johnson; Business Manager Katherine Moore; Assistant Editor, Rosalind Lane; and the Advertising Manager was Carolyn Greene(Pine Cone , 1937). Back reads: "Editorial staff at work on the 'Campus Canopy,' college weekly newspaper." and "The Canopy Staff gets out the paper." 1937.
