The Georgia Association of Media Assistants is a student organization sponsered by both the Georgia Library Association and the Georgia Library Media Association. Formed in the late 70s it connects library/media student assistants with a yearly convention allowing them to share their efforts in assisting their library/media centers. This collection houses the financial information for the association (1980-2007), meeting and convention minutes, as well as photographs and the Lamppost the Handbook of GAMA. It also contains information regarding the GAMA scholarship which was began in 1983, and distributed yearly to one GAMA member.
