This manuscript is a transcript of a page of interview notes from Alex Haley's profile of Malcolm X for Playboy Magazine published in may 1963. Malcolm X signed the page as an endorsment of the accuracy of the transcription.

Malcolm X (1925 - 1965was an African-American Muslim minister and human rights activist who was a popular figure during the civil rights movement. He was a spokesman for the Nation of Islam, and a lifelong advocate for Black empowerment and critic of the civil rights movement led by Martin Luther King Jr.
