Scope and Contents

The first lecture in the first annual African American Lecture Series. 1997-02-06. Panel of three local black leaders discussing African Americans and Education. Introduced by Dr. Shirley Herdin, Comments by VSU president, Dr. Hugh Bailey and Dean of the College of Education, Dr. Floyd Toth. The panel was moderated by Jeremy Hardin. On the panel were Mrs. Sarah Jones, who spoke about education before and after education, Mrs. Ruth Council, who discussed integration and its immediate effects and Mr. Isaiah Isom, who shared his experiences before and after integration.
