Frances Hurn Harper Collection

Scope and Contents Frances Hurn Harper was an alumni of Georgia State Womans College who attended in the late 40s. Some of her possessions concerning the college were donated to the Valdosta State University Archives by her daughter Peggy Harper Riggins. Leigh Birdsong Collection

Mark Stevens Memorial Blood Drive

The Mark Stevens Memorial Blood Drive began in 1975 as a tribute to Mark Stevens a Valdosta State College student and native Valdostian who was killed in a gun accident in October 1975. The collection contains information concerning the history of the blood drive, organizational information and participants. The date spans from 1975-1988.
