Physical Description Note
B/W sepia 5.375" x 3.5" photograph. Interior -- Classroom. A teacher instructs a class of children on sewing. "A Room of the Training School. As part of its mission, the school opened a 'Training School' consisting at first of grades 1, 3, and 5. It quickly expaned to include at times all elementary grades and high school and was extremely popular. The training school lasted from 1913 to 1933, when it closed due to lack of funds.
