William Tappan Thompson Collection
Scope and Contents
This collection represents the research of Henry Presntice Miller in order to complete his dissertation titled "The Life and Works of William Tappan Thompson". The box is full of letters to and from William Tappan Thompson. There are also some original editions of The Augusta Mirror. All of the letters in the folders have a microfilm, handwritten, and typed copy of the letter except for those that have indicated absences. Cursory research and records do not indicate where the microfilmed letters may be found originally; however, the transcription of the originally handwritten, microfilmed letters adds value to the microfilmed collection.
