Scope and Contents
Since 1913 Valdosta State has always had some form of Student Government. However, this collection contains mostly recent documents of the Student Government Association. Box 1 is especially current as it contains SGA Minutes,committees, bills, proposals, agendas, resolutions, by-laws, and forums all dated after the year 2000 and ranging to present day. Box 2 has general information about history since it contains the SGA Constitution, Charter and By-laws for 1932 & 1979 (Constitution & By-laws 1920s-40s is in Boc 3). Boxes 3 & 4 hold the Freshman Register/Record/ Who's New 1981-1989 which was produced by the SGA to help new Freshman by providing useful information and putting names to faces of upperclassmen. SGA Senate Bills are in Box 5 1969-2000.SGA Senate Minutes 1962-2002 are Box 6. Box 7 holds misc. binders such as Student Activity Fee Allocations 2002-2005.
