New York Times Shakespeare Tercentenary Tribute
Collection — Item: 1
Collection number: MS-155
Scope and Contents
From February to April of 1916 the New York Times published a special supplement commemorating the tercentenary (300 years) of William Shakespeare's death. A collection of these supplements (along with clippings from a 1915 Richmond Times Dispatch about the Bayeux Tapestry) was given to Arthur M. Gignilliat, a teacher at Valdosta State College in 1963/1964. Gignilliat passed this collection along to Alex McFadden who donated it to Archives and Special Collections. The Archives digitized these articles/supplements and posted them on Vtext under Digitized Books.
