Scope and Contents From the Collection:

Louis Schmier was a professor of history at Valdosta State University for 45 years. He retired in 2013 and donated a large collection of materials to the VSU Archives and Special Collections. This is comprised of novels about World War II, Journal articles about World War I, and sources about German history relating to World War II. In addition there are costumes he used when teaching and posters from the VSC "Week of Seminars" events in the 1970's.

Eleven copies of the International Conciliation, a journal dispersed by the American Association for International Conciliation. This association aimed at advancing international goodwill through education. Each of the journal articles focus on various aspects of international relations to promote understanding amongst nations.
