Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Accreditation Reports
The Southern Association of Colleges and Schools mission is the improvement of education in the South through accreditation. This collection contains accreditation materials from the 1970s to the present day. These include everything from general S.A.C.S. reports to in-depth examinations of Valdosta's individual departments. Statistics as well as self-examination and faculty surveys make up a large part of the collection.
Southwest Georgia Section of the American Chemical Society
Special Education and Communication Disorders Department
This collection contains promotional materials from Valdosta State's Special Education and Communication Disorders Department. These include a brief history of the program(that is dated 1996), informative pamphlets about the Special Education Degree, as well as news articles and brochures for the Speech and Hearing Clinic.
Special Events
Office in charge of creating parties/special events during the Zaccari administration. Created approximately 2002 or 2003. Ended 2010. Duties assumed by Event Services. Ann Lacey was in charge of the office during its existence. Event Services is UA 6-13.

Sports Medicine
Sports Memorabilia
Valdosta State's first basketball team was called the Rebels, a name that was used campus-wide for sports until 1972 when our name was changed to the Blazers. This collection contains sports memorabilia from our time both as the Rebels and the Blazers including themed: posters, clothing, banners, and pictures. Also part of the collection is former mascot Blaze the Dragon, who lives on the first floor of Odum Library next to the Bailey display.
Steve Barker Collection
Steve Barker attended VSC from 1978-1982. These papers are his notes and notebooks from most of his college classes. Barker was a biology major. The collection is a snapshot of curriculum at VSC during this time period.
Student Association of Georgia Educators (SAGE)
This collection contains a scrapbook for the Valdosta Chapter of the Student Association of Georgia Educators dated 1973. (The Scrapbook calls is SGAE Student Georgia Association of Educators). It contains papers from SAGE events as well as meeting agendas and news articles all dated 1973.
Student Broadcasting
A scrapbook with pictures, and newspaper clippings detailing the history of Student Broadcasting at Valdosta State WVVS-Fm. Dates range from 1970- to some time in the 1990s

Contains Student Handbooks for Valdosta State University from 1926-2002. Provides an interesting view of how the rules of school have changed over the years.

Student Life offers the opportunity for students to enhance their collegiate experience with co-curricular activities. This collection represents the history of Student Life at Valdosta State, as it houses scrapbooks, pictures, plaques,and newspaper articles concerning Student Life sponsored events and services dating from the 1970s to present day.

Sue Kirkland McCranie Collection
The collection consists of a GSWC Pennant, a 1948 GSWC handbook, and a memory book with mementos from GSWC. Many items were loosely stored in the memory book and have been placed in individual folders.
Symphony Guild
This collection, created by the Symphony Guild, contains records related to the administration and membership of the Valdosta Symphony Guild. Resources include membership rolls, meeting minutes, treasury reports, schedules of events, concert programs, newspaper articles and pictures dating from 1990-2017.
