Campus Communications Board

Scope and Contents

The Communications Board serves as a liaison between the campus media and the administration, the faculty, staff, and students of Valdosta State University. The "Comm Board" also serves as the highest-level policy and review board for the general operation of campus communications at VSU. Charlie H. Skinner Primitive Baptist Foot Washing Bowl

This metal bowl was used for foot washing in the New Ramah Primivite Baptist Church in Berrien County. It was donated by Charlie Skinner, who was a member in his youth. The bowl is white with a red rim.

Civil Defense Kits

Scope and Contents During the Cold War fear of war prompted the US government to encourage its citizens to build fallout shelters to help protect them from the effects of possible nuclear attacks. These materials which originated from the Office of Civil Defense, were intended to be used in the event of an emergency that required evacuation to the fallout shelters.
