This collection contains administrative records for Valdosta State's Odum Library from  the 1970s-1980s. Most of it relates to the Academic Committee on Libraries, Academic Council, and the American Library Association. The majority of the information is memos and meeting minutes.

Contains the history of Valdosta State's Library including pictures and papers about Powell Hall which served as library for the school until Odum Library was built. It contains papers from the library built in the 70's including floor plans and correspondence concerning the interior alterations and problems. Project manuals, correspondence and plans for the Odum Library Addition are also included as well.

Contains Dedication pamphlets from the Libraries of Valdosta State. In 1941 Powell Library was dedicated. Powell was in use until 1972 when a new library was completed that would eventually be named Odum Library. In 2004 Odum dedicated a new addition that doubled the size of the library.

Scope and Contents Dr. Sidney Walter Martin was the fifth president of Valdosta State College.
