Folder contains a copy of their marriage license, the first issued to a same sex couple in Lowndes County after the Supreme Court ruling on June 26, 2015. Both are Valdosta State University Alumni and were employees of the university when the marriage took place. The marriage officiant was Dr. Fred Downing, the Department Head for Philosophy and Religious Studies. Also included is a newspaper article about their marriage.
