This book was published by a book shop that was affiliated with the Communist Party USA. The book is organized as a series of lessons on African-American history for use in workshops and classes. This is the first printing. Which is somewhat scarce compared to the second printing. Interesting and important study of American blacks some twenty years before the Civil Rights movement.
