Scope and Contents

Valdosta State University's Continuing Education department mission is to enhance the quality of life in the region by providing educational, artistic, cultural, technological, and economic development activities and programs. The Continuing Education Program works to develop and present programs and activities for professional and personal enrichment of community persons. This collection contains a list of courses and programs provided by the department since 1979.

Scope and Contents In the past Valdosta State College has collaborated with Moody Air Force Base to provide servicemen with educational programs. Programs such as Bootstrap that allowed active duty servicement to take courses at Valdosta State at night were in place in the late 60s to the 70s. Scope and Contents At one time there existed a Division of Public Service at Valdosta State under which fell the Continuing Education Department, eLearning (formerly Distance Learning),and Video Production Services (formerly Satellite Services).
