Valerie E. Voigt was born October 10, 1953. She is an independent religious institutions professional located in Palo Alto, California. Viogt has been a minister of the Temple of the Evening Star since January of 1981. She's been a consultant and freelance writer for Blue Blazes, February 1991-March 1998. She was national coordinator of POWSIG [Pagan, Occult, and Witchcraft Special Interest Group] from 1979-1992. A senior technical writer for ASK Computer Systems from February 1989-January 1990. Correspondence Officer for NorCal Local Council, Covenant of the Goddess from 1985-1987. Software control specialist for Elxsi Corporation, January 1982-January 1983; Intep Corporation software technitian from March 1978-January 1981 and Computer Programmer from January 1981-December 1981. She received a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Kansas in Classical languages in 1978; a black belt from California Karate Academy in martial arts and self-defense, 1995-1997 from the Society of Deshi. She edited the newsletter Pagana from 1980 to 1990
