An obituary for Harold's mother Mrs. Harriet Evans Gulliver was published in the Campus Canopy (Oct. 7, 1938). Several letters dated early 1938 congratulating Harold Gulliver on the publication of his book of poetry 'Out of the Bog'. H. E. Park, Charlie Hyer, Lucy McGriff all sent letters. Gulliver also sent many letters to Augusta Gulliver in Valdosta while he was teaching at the University of Georgia in July 1939.
