Folio leaves published in Nuremberg. Woodcut biblical scenes and printed text. Each woodcut surrounded by decorative border. 7 leaves printed on both sides, 8 total woodcuts. Woodcuts: Virgil Solis Virgil Solis was one of the most influential and prolific artists of his time. He was a printer who used engraving and woodcuts to produce great numbers of biblical scenes portrayed in a contemporary style with symbolic action and objects. He also produced woodcuts for publications of the Roman poet Ovid.
