Scope and Contents
In the past Valdosta State College has collaborated with Moody Air Force Base to provide servicemen with educational programs. Programs such as Bootstrap that allowed active duty servicement to take courses at Valdosta State at night were in place in the late 60s to the 70s. This collection contains correspondence and applications concerning VSC/Moody Air Force Base projects including PREP (Predischarge Education Program), which was provided to servicement hoping to refresh their academic skills or gain a high-school equivalency certificate before entering college.This papers mostly cover the late 60s early 70s.
