Scope and Contents

Elizabeth Derrick was a Professor of Chemistry at Valdosta State University. She was also a member of several important committees and donated records from 1987-2002 including meeting minutes, conferences, by-laws, and correspondence for the following: American Association of University Professors (AAUP), Assembley of State Conferences (ASC AAUP's State Conference Organization), Grievance Committee, Faculty Senate. Also included are papers concerning the self-study of the Chemistry Department(88-89,00-01), and the creation of the Women's Studies program.

Professional files of historical interest to VSU: Grevance Healings; Special (Bailey) Grievance Hearing; formation of the Faculty Senate. She was first exec. Secretary of the Faculty Senate. Cribbs, Kushner and Wright files are under Open Records limitations. Some files may not have been turned over as it says "some files are still with Derrick and will be turned over later.
