Scope and Contents

Dr. John Dunn is currently a professor of History at Valdosta State University. This collection includes his publications, professional correspondence, outstanding student papers, journals from interns, and travel journals from Egypt, Uzbekastan, and Japan. Dr. Dunn also donated several vintage copies of French publications dating from the late 19th early 20th century, most notably L'Illustration. Several boxes of L'Illustration have been digitized and can be found on Vtext.

Accruals and Additions

A signed Deed of gift by Tamiko Lawrence on behalf of Dr. David Campbell of a few chinese items: a tablecloth, minature trumpet and colored rocks, 9/9/99.  Collection was very small and has been combined with John Dunn's International Items box. 8-8-2006.  Research Materials and Manuscript of Kehdive Ismail's Army, including travel to Egypt and work in Egyptian Archives. 12-8-2013: Handwritten note donating diary of participation in QEP program, Diary of 2019 trip to Israel, VSU AFROTC tee shirt.
