Scope and Contents

The Regents Academic Committee on Libraries is an academic advisory committee. Its purpose is to make recommendations and reports on the improvement of libraries, exchange information and ideas, and to improve resource sharing and coordination of services between units of the University System. RACL is responsible for initiating a number of resource sharing activities including GALILEO, Georgia's Virtual Library and GIL the University System's integrated library management system, including GIL Express, a statewide lending system. This collection houses RACL information from 1980-2005
