12/1- Race violence- no author; Six people face charges in Denver after being accused of beating a black woman that asked if they were skin heads.
12/17- Dec. 31 in application deadline for area Weed and Seed project- Jodi M. Scott;
12/18- Clinton defends race initiative- no author; Clinton wanted to show the race advisory board the school systems in Fairfax County, VA as an example for diverse school systems.
12/26- City seeks Weed and Seed status- Jodi M. Scott; rticle discusses the Weed and Seed strategy and mentions that the application for the program will be sent to the U.S. Department of Justice .
12/27- VPD has ambitious plans for Weed and Seed- Jodi M. Scott; Valdosta Police department plans to tackle illegal drug crimes under the Weed & Seed program.
12/30- Weed and Seed would destroy derelict housing- Jodi M. Scott; Dilapidated houses are planned for demolition to clean up the neighborhoods.
December 1997- Racial Sensitivity measured in words- no author; Article discusses commentds made by Fuzzy Zoeller toward Tiger Woods. Zoeller made racial comments towards Tiger Woods after he became the first person of color to win a major title.
