Scope and Contents Two Bills of Sale for slaves. Both transactions are for Green G. Ford in what was then Baker County and is now Worth County, Georgia. The first in Baker County for the price of $1,920: one woman, Lucy, about 20 years old and a boy, John, about 6 years of age, signed Lucinda Ferguson and Isaac Gillian on January 3, 1837. The second received by Randal McDonald, Adm. in Pulaski County on January 2, 1839 by Green G. Ford of Lee County for the cost of $1,276.00: one woman named Zelpha about 30 years...

Charlie H. Skinner Primitive Baptist Foot Washing Bowl

Scope and Contents This metal bowl was used for foot washing in the New Ramah Primivite Baptist Church in Berrien County. It was donated by Charlie Skinner, who was a member in his youth. The bowl is white with a red rim.

Scope and Contents During the Cold War fear of war prompted the US government to encourage its citizens to build fallout shelters to help protect them from the effects of possible nuclear attacks. These materials which originated from the Office of Civil Defense, were intended to be used in the event of an emergency that required evacuation to the fallout shelters.
