Continuing Education
Valdosta State University's Continuing Education department mission is to enhance the quality of life in the region by providing educational, artistic, cultural, technological, and economic development activities and programs. The Continuing Education Program works to develop and present programs and activities for professional and personal enrichment of community persons. This collection contains a list of courses and programs provided by the department since 1979.
Converse Hall Fire of 1978
This collection primary consisists of Kodak slides donated by W.K. George in 2012. Other materials related to the Converse Hall Fire will be added as we process them.

Copeland African American Museum Collection
Costello/Whitten Collection
Donated by Danielle Costello and Jessie Whitten. Folder contains a copy of their marriage license, the first issued to a same sex couple in Lowndes County after the Supreme Court ruling on June 26, 2015. Both are Valdosta State University Alumni and were employees of the university when the marriage took place. The marriage officiant was Dr. Fred Downing, the Department Head for Philosophy and Religious Studies. Also included is a newspaper article about their marriage.

David Scott is a Professor Emeritus of Finance at Valdosta State University. The VSU Archives houses several boxes pertaining to his extensive publication history. David Williams Oral History Collection
The David Williams Collection consists of over 100 interviews with members of the Valdosta community and surrounding areas that lived during the Great Depression. The interviews chronicle the major difficulties of life during this trying era. Topics include descriptions of the struggle for daily provisions for the family. The collection contains DVDs, VHS tapes, and audio cassettes. All the tapes in the collection have been digitized and are available on DVD for use.
