Scope and Contents

The Georgia Historic Resources Survey of Lowndes County was a project by the Valdosta Heritage Foundation beginning in 2000. The collection consists of property survey of historic structures in Valdosta, Quitman, rural Brooks County and the Turner County towns of Rebecca and Sycamore.

Scope and Contents This collection contains information about the history of Lowndes County. It has Lowndes County Historical Society Newsletters, as well as maps, phone books, and guides. It also has information about points of interest such as local events, the Crescent, Valdosta Schools, and Sunset Cemetery.
