J. Randall Walker Papers

Scope and Contents John Randall Walker(February 23, 1874 – July 21, 1942) was a U.S. political figure from the state of Georgia. John Adam Treutlen

He was the first person from Lowndes County to receive a BSF Degree in Forestry from UGA. Mr. Langdale became the third Registered Forester in the state of Georgia. Scope and Contents Melvin Thompson, the first person elected to the office of lieutenant governor of Georgia, served as the state's governor in 1947-48. He is best remembered for his fight with Herman Talmadge over the governorship after the death of Governor-elect Eugene Talmadge in 1946. The papers of M.E.
