Wymodausis Collection

Scope and Contents The collection consists of correspondence between Medora Field Perkerson and members of the Wymodausis Club, Mrs. R.J. McClenny and Mrs. Walter Williams. The handwritten journals of Willie Pearl Davis, a member of Wymodausis in the clubs early years, are also included. A typed transcript of the handwritten journals is included. Yvonne Slate- George Washington Woolwork

Scope and Contents

A damaged large framed Woolwork of the Gilbert Stuart portrait of George Washington was gifted to Valdosta State University and Special Collections.  After several years, chemisty student Ann K Williams and Deborah Davis did conservation work on the Woolwork.  The mold stains were removed and the portrait reframed.  It is now hanging in the stairwell of Ashley Hall.
