This collection contains items from events that were held at Valdosta State University. There is a wide range of genres represented from the history of Valdosta State, to visiting artists and exhbits. Included are the materials of exhibits such as the House in the Woods, Valdosta State's 100 year anniversary, and the history of integration at Valdosta State. Valdosta also had Maya Angelou, Jancie Daugharty, and the We the People exhibit as well as hosting theater conferences.

Joan Seever Bailey was the wife of Valdosta State's sixth president Hugh Bailey. She was an extremely active participant in Valdosta State Affairs and her collection reflects that. Most of the items involve Campus Events that were organized or attended by Mrs. Bailey. Also included are college memorabilia, news articles and clippings, and photographs.

Wainer House in Valdosta was originally designed by Frank Lloyd Wright in 1952. However the house was finally built according to alternate plans chosen by the owners Mr. and Mrs. Alex Wainer. A model was commissioned in 1987 for a exhbit sponsored by Art departmen Contains a copy of the flyer and photographs of the model obtained from the family.
